Adele and Edoardo Fendi founded their namesake atelier as a small leather goods boutique on Via del Plebiscito in Rome in 1925. Karl Lagerfeld led the artistic direction from 1965 to 2019. During the 70s he introduced ready-to-wear cementing its status as a world-class purveyor of Italian luxury fashion. the Maison is led by Silvia Venturini Fendi, who has instilled a contemporary spirit and adventurous design into the collections for men and women.
